KABOOM! Rapid City Real Estate Market – January 2010
Not bad! After a terribly slow December, looks like buyers and sellers have come out of the woodwork and are taking advantage of the tax credits and breaks. My only complaint at this point is that listings are down…some buyers looking for a certain type of property might have a hard time finding what they are looking for before the end of April. New construction is still taking a hit. Prices are down as builders are looking to sell off their inventory.
Plus we are starting to see more relocation company referrals. Maybe that’s a sign that companies have a better feeling about the economy and business outlook as they are choosing to spend the money to transfer employees.
Here is what we got this month:
Date range for active stats: as of 2/1/09 and 2/1/10
Date range for sold stats: 1/1/09 to 2/1/09 and 1/1/10 to 2/1/10
This representation is based in whole or in part on data supplies by the Black Hills Association of REALTORS or its Multiple Listing Service for the periods as shown. Neither the Association not its MLS guarantee or is in anyway responsible for its accuracy. Data maintained by the Association of its MLS may not reflect all real estate activity in the market.
Onward!
