Rapid City Neighborhoods – Summerset Subdivision

There are other subdivisions, but I have not referenced those here)
Summerset is another community a few miles outside of Rapid City in the “Piedmont Valley” area. Just off Interstate 90 on the way to Piedmont and Sturgis, this neighborhood features your quintessentail suburban experience. There is even a white fence as you arrive in the City from Sturgis Road!
Homes are lined up neatly on the streets.
Sidewalks are eveywhere – allowing for perfect neighborhood walks.
Front decks. Porch swings. Privacy fences. Plenty of kids playing in the streets and dogs wagging their tails.
Homes in Summerset were being built in the early 2000’s and new ones are continued to be built as of this post. There are a variety of homes for your style – mostly ranch and split levels. Many have open floor plan concepts. You’ll usually find a 2 car garage…with a few 3 car garage options out there. There are even a few smaller, one level homes in the subdivision as well.
Summerset became an official city in the state of South Dakota in 2005. It has the same features and benefits that other cities enjoy: natural gas (MDU), Black Hills Power, city water, and cable internet/phone/TV services.
A strong and active HOA keeps the neighborhood in tip top shape, with a minor monthly payment.
With the newer built homes and location, Summerset is a popular location for many.
